SINGLE

This is the third maxi- single following “LADY MADONNA” and “Your Song”. The DELICO groove and sharply-drawn, evocative lyrics, are in full-force, creating a rhythm and echo of language that only DELICO can express.

Last Smile:

We like the unique contrast created by the continuous mechanical groove and the kind of rustic folk sound which can be heard in-between, as it cretes a nice atmosphere of sentimentally. The idea for the style of the sound came from a roughness as expressed by Neil Young and Beck. It’s a sound that is both natural and casual at the same time. . We really wanted to focus on a combination of vocals and groove, withi inspiration provided by the Eagles and TLC.

Moonly(single edit):

This song presented a huge challenge to us while we were recording it. To record a standard R&R number was one of our long term goals, and finally being able to get it done with this song built up a lot of confidence for us for the future.

Wasting:

We were inspired by John Lennon’s “Workingclass Hero” and wrote this one during the recording of the single. The acoustic guitar was a tool that moved people’ in the 60’s, and we wanted to see if it was still true now.
